Multi-Trade Repair & Maintenance for National Housebuilders

Tradecast Building Services provides post-completion, multi-trade repair and maintenance services for new-build residential developments across the UK. We work with national housebuilders, supporting customer care teams with remedial works in occupied homes following handover.

Our role is to assess reported issues and carry out agreed repairs across multiple trades, in line with housebuilder instructions and applicable NHBC standards. Work is undertaken after initial snagging has been completed, often addressing more complex or recurring issues that require coordinated trade input.

External Repairs and Remedial Works

Our exterior trade services cover windows, doors, driveways and paths, roofing, gutters and fascia, and roughcasting or rendering repairs.

Exterior works are typically localised repairs carried out to address identified defects or damage. Where existing materials have weathered or aged, visual variation may remain following repair.

Internal Multi-Trade Services

We carry out a wide range of interior remedial works within occupied new-build homes. This includes electrical, plumbing, joinery, plastering, tiling and floor covering repairs.

Works are assessed on a case-by-case basis and completed in accordance with the agreed scope. Repairs may involve localised interventions, and finishes will reflect the condition and materials of the existing property.

Final Fix & Finishing Trades

Tradecast undertakes finishing works required as part of post-completion maintenance, including painting and decorating, silicone sealing, ironmongery adjustments and final cleans following repair works.

These services are delivered as part of an overall remedial package, supporting the resolution of reported issues without introducing unnecessary disruption or additional scope.

A Single Point of Contact for Multi-Trade Repairs

Tradecast provides a single point of contact for post-completion remedial works involving multiple trades. By coordinating access, sequencing and delivery internally, related repairs can be addressed as part of one managed visit rather than through separate trade appointments.

This approach supports a more straightforward process for housebuilder customer care teams and allows remedial works to be carried out in an organised and practical manner within occupied homes.

A Reliable Partner Across Every Development

From the first visit to the final inspection, our team is focused on getting the job done right – on time, with minimal disruption, and to the standard you expect. With long-standing relationships, fully accredited teams and experienced leadership, we continue to support national housebuilders across the UK.

Our 1989 Wimpey timber framed house has leaked since it was 5 years old. Wind and rain on the front of the house caused water penetration. This leaked into the ceilings of the front porch and dining room, which both extend beyond the main roof, under a hip roof. I have lost count of the number of NHBC and insurance assessors, builders and roofers who have said they would fix the problem. The leadwork was replaced at least three times and the corner with the quoin stones was removed and rebuilt. The brickwork was painted with silicone "sealant" twice and the windows replaced. The main roof was replaced and the hip roof replaced twice. Nothing fixed the leak.

After the winter storms of 2025/26 we faced further water damage. I contacted Tradecast (who respond very quickly by phone or email). Joseph Bryce, the general manager, came out to inspect the house and said that the cavity tray above the porch and the dining room was either damaged or not fitted.

He sent a quote to cut several rows of bricks out from under the windows and fit new cavity trays then make the wall good again. He also included the cost of repairing the plasterboard ceiling which had been badly damaged. This quote was quite a bit more expensive than that of another builder but they did not mention cavity trays, so I went with Tradecast and I am really glad I did.

Tradecast were able to start work within a fortnight and actually did the external works while we were away on a winter holiday. When we returned I was amazed to see that the repair was almost invisible. The brick and cement works were a perfect match. The internal joinery, plaster work and painting were then carried out by very tidy, polite and skilled tradesmen and the result is also an invisible repair with absolutely no internal mess.

We have had several storms since the repair and so far there is absolutely no sign of water penetration. Joseph then came and visited to check we were happy with the job before payment was requested. I have no hesitation in recommending Tradecast on the following criteria:

Ease of contact/communication *****
Ability to identify then solve the problem *****
